The A1 Live Audio Engineer assists with the general setup of the assigned event or show, as directed by the PM/CL, as well as oversees and directs the audio setup and runs audio for it. Collaborates professionally with all Production Staff and Clients to service all Audio technical support requests for events. When in the field, directs and supervises, in a courteous and professional manner, the Audio Crew assigned to assist with the completion of any tasks under his / her supervision and delegates tasks efficiently, providing guidance and training when necessary.

This is not an entry-level position and extensive live corporate / music experience is required.


Job Duties:
Coordinates with the Audio Services Manager to plan and execute the technical aspects of each design, including interpreting audio needs and all signal flow plans, I/O lists and stage + venue plots.
Provides professional, courteous technical support service to all customers.
Fulfills the role of System Tech, or Console Operator, or both as required, depending on the size of the event.
Responsible for setup, operation and strike of equipment before, during and after events, including operating all system processors / software, audio consoles, playback support systems, and any audio related gear as required.
Responsible for ensuring all Audio techs under his / her supervision deliver the expected Frost level of service.
All other job-related duties as assigned.


Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of live lead audio experience required.
Corporate / Special Events / Hotel / Arena / Broadcast experience is a plus.
Excellent mixing skills and working knowledge of digital consoles, specifically those manufactured by DiGiCo, Soundcraft, Yamaha and Midas.
Working knowledge of Waves Soundgrid servers preferred.
Excellent system management skills, including building a line array per spec sheet.
Understanding of line array prediction and monitoring software required, preferably Martin Audio Display + VuNet and Harman Audio Architect.
Excellent knowledge of proper gain structure and signal flow.
Working knowledge of standard audio related software, such as, but not limited to, Shure Workbench 6, Qlab 3, Harman Audio Architect and Martin Audio Display + VuNet preferred.
Ability to interpret event technical documents such as, but not limited to, technical riders, signal flow diagrams, input lists, stage plots, events run-of-show, cue lists, etc.
Basic understanding of audio related rigging gear such as, but not limited to, motors, hoists, crank lifts, truss, span sets, shackles, beam clamps, mega-claws, etc.
Ability to rig an audio array from the rig point downwards (bumper, pins, cabling, cabling strain relief, safeties, etc.).
Ability to create a simple rigging point for small audio systems (single or dual speaker), utilizing a variety of rigging hardware options, including beam, tent or structure clamps, shackles, span sets, etc.
Ability to stay calm, and make decisions under pressure.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple people.
Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to work collaboratively with others for whom you have no direct supervisory authority.
Strong teamwork and team synergy skills required.
Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and be
on-call as necessary.



Physical Requirements:
Capability to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time.
Capability to climb ladders and scaffolding and operate single column personnel lifts (Genies or scissor lifts).
Capability to work in high places.
Capability to work in small cramped places.
Capability to work in hot and humid environments.
Capability to work in cold environments.
Capability to lift + move excess of 60lbs as is necessary in the normal flow of the day-to-day work.
Load, unassisted, and lift and move 100lbs with assistance.
