PT Production Supervisor Day Shift

Off the Grid is an events company that specializes in large-scale, recurring food driven events. We believe strongly in bringing communities together through amazing shared food experiences. Working with a diverse group of 300+ food and beverage vendors, we currently operate close to 60 weekly events in the Bay Area and in Sacramento, and provide full service catering throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Summary of Job:
The Off the Grid Production Supervisor is a temporary Part-Time entry-level management position, which drives the on-site production of our mobile food markets throughout the Bay Area. We're a growing company that operates seven days a week. As a result, this part-time position requires early morning, late night, and weekend shifts and may have the opportunity to transition to Full-Time.

We host seasonal weekly events from April-October and depend upon the Production Supervisor to actively participate and direct staff in producing our Destination Markets/other special events. This job leads and is responsible for the activity and workflow of the Production Crew Members on the scheduled shift; set up of equipment and preserving Off the Grids quality standards.

This is a very physical position, which requires working outdoors and a strong ability to safely execute and troubleshoot all sequences of labor and logistics for each shift. The Production Supervisor reports into the Production Manager and works closely with the Lead Production Supervisor to ensure all procedures and duties are achieved on a weekly basis.

Oversee and execute the transportation and logistics of moving vehicle(s) and equipment from warehouse to event site and back
Operate box trucks (up to 26ft), and other company vehicles
Oversee and execute the setup of event infrastructure within assigned workflow
Accurately pick, pull, load, and unload equipment and tools at warehouse
Act as the liaison between production staff and the Production Manager
Uphold and enforce all established safety and handling guidelines
Practice excellent judgment, time management, and take proper action to solve unforeseen problems quickly and effectively
Complete daily reports documenting and summarizing shift activity
Maintain and inventory all event, production, tools, hardware, and storage equipment
Function as the lead representative of Off the Grid on-site

Job Requirements:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-2 Years
Educational/Position Requirements: N/A
Management Experience: Experience managing or supervising 2-10 people
Computer/Software Applications: Basic computer knowledge
Languages: Read, write, and verbally communicate in English
Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid CA Drivers License and Clean Driving Record
Skills: Operating Box Trucks, Forklifts and/or other large vehicles and equipment
Other: Must be over 25 or older in order to operate a company vehicle

Shift Times/Availability Requirements:
This is a part-time temporary position (potential to become full-time) and required hours of work and days for the Set Up Shift are as follows:
Wednesday Set Up: 5:00 AM 12 PM
Thursday Set Up: 9:00 AM 4:00 PM
Friday Set Up: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Sunday Set Up: 4:00 AM 11:00 AM
Schedule runs on a weekly basis from April-October, 2017 and can be subject to change

Work Environment:
This job occasionally occurs inside, frequently occurs outside, and is subject to outside environmental conditions.

While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb; balance; stoop, crouch; sit; stand; walk; substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach, push, pull with hands and arms. In addition this position frequently moves/lifts equipment up to 50 pounds throughout the day and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
