The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival/Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, located in Auburn, NY, is seeking an enthusiastic Company Management Intern for the 2017 season who will train and transition into the position of Interim Assistant Company Manager. He/She will assist in the care of over 200 staff with relation to transportation, housing, medical assistance, and hospitality.

Candidate will thrive in an energetic, fun, and fast-paced environment. Candidate must be an excellent and proactive multi-tasker, able to work independently, as well as, collaboratively. At all times work in a manner conductive to safe working procedures and conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience planning small events, managing a budget, and leading small groups in daily tasks. Candidate will be comfortable performing all tasks required as part of the company management team including (but not limited to) furnishing, cleaning, and general building maintenance on all company housing, arranging/supplying transportation, providing medical assistance, and extending general support and hospitality to the theatres employees. He/She will assist with all company related communication while maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a strong company morale. Any other duties as assigned by the Company Manager.

As the Company Management Intern, he/she will report directly to the Company Manager (CM) and Assistant Company Manager (ACM).
+middot; Maintain, track and file paperwork
+middot; Maintain storage and supplies
+middot; On-call in rotation with other company management staff to handle emergencies that arise after hours

Upon transition into Interim Assistant Company Manager contract, duties include (but are not limited to) preparing and maintaining apartments and supplies for staff, yard maintenance, and snow removal at the theatres apartment buildings. He/She reports directly to the Company Manager (CM)
+middot; Lead team in preparing staff housing
+middot; Coordinate maintenance/improvements at company owned housing
+middot; Expand and maintain community outreach to arrange coupons/deals for staff and arrange donations to department
+middot; On-call at all times to handle emergencies that arise after hours

Qualifications / Working Requirements / Compensation:
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or related experience; ability and willingness to work long/varied hours in a fast paced environment; very organized, flexible and adaptable; upbeat and proactive approach; self-motivator with strong management and leadership skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with Microsoft Office (Word + Excel); able to lift 50lbs; at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record; Full time; pay is based on experience and housing is provided
