The Hangar Theatre, an Equity summer theatre celebrating its 47th season as one of the nation’s pre-eminent summer theatres, is seeking a Sound Fellow. This summer we are moving our stage outdoors, producing 5 Mainstage shows (The Realness, Once, Sweeney Todd, Queens Girl in the World, and Odyssey Project), 4 children’s theatre shows (Elephant and Piggie: We are in a Play, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Stoo’s Famous American Martian Gumbo, and The Little Mermaid), and 4 experimental shows. The Sound Fellow is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the sound design for each production and for maintaining sound within the theatre buildings. The Sound Fellow will help lead a 3 person sound department. The ability to lead and train interns is essential.
