Can start immediately. Looking for a min. two year focus.
Elysium Conservatory Theatre (ECT), a non-profit organization, seeks to expand it's leadership with an ADMINISTRATIVE/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR who demonstrates:
-strong work ethic
-solution-oriented problem solving skills
-genuine desire to build a world-class performing arts organization from the ground, up.
Our upcoming 2017-2018 seasons include repertory productions of Chekhov's THREE SISTERS, Shakespeare's RICHARD III and ROMEO + JULIET, an immersive celebration of magic and love in DARK OF THE MOON, the world premiere of ALIK - looking at Lee Harvey Oswald's time in Russia, and an ensemble-generated (Alice in) WONDERLAND PROJECT.
ECT offerings include unparalleled artistic growth for our staff, a Six-Month Conservatory program for emerging artists, a monthly First Thursday Cabaret Night, retreats, receptions, and many more community-engaging events throughout the year.
Elysium Conservatory Theatre offers the Southern California community a unique alternative to the typical L.A. theater experience. A wholehearted celebration of fearless artistic innovation - from every background and medium - ECT strives to reawaken the raw, honest poetry of performance.
The mainstage theatre experience at ECT is just that - an experience. Productions redefine the relationship between audience and performer, offering soaring, human stories with immersive, imaginative staging. Through intelligent and fearless exploration, ECT is committed to reexamining the fundamental works that have defined performance from Ancient Greece to Modern America. We knowingly stand on the shoulders of giants, casting our vision forward into a new era of theatrical possibility. ECT is devoted to fueling the next generation of American art, creating visionary work that rattles the foundations of modern performance.
PLEASE NOTE: All artists, instructors and staff members are volunteer-based positions for the coming two seasons. ECT is moving forward towards instituting a growing salary structure for the 2018/19 season, while currently offering significant artistic home benefits (free training, use of space, comp tix, etc.)
