600-800 base plus road expenses

Functions as a member of an integrated team within the Props Department on a large scale arena touring production by assisting with all backstage scene changes, drivable units, scenic pieces, and other duties related to the production while maintaining the integrity of the artistic concept and adhering to best practice safety protocols.

Essential Functions:

1. Off load and loads trucks, operate heavy equipment and assemble and disassembles scenic, drivable units and all equipment assigned to the Props Department.
2. Direct local crews in loading and unloading; assembling and disassembling all equipment associated to, but not limited to the Props department.
3. Responsible for repairing and maintaining all equipment related to the props department as directed by supervisors and Best Practice Standards.
4. Ensure the safety and security of Backstage equipment at all times including but not limited to forklifts, drivable units, heavy equipment, motorcycles and other scenic show production vehicles.
5. Responsible for following cues to maintain high standards of quality established for the productions aesthetics and creative vision.
6. Responsible for compliance with all Local and Feld Entertainment Inc. safety policies and continually seeking to improve efficiency and safety within the backstage department and overall production.
7. Responsible for following the rules, regulations and guidelines set forth by Feld Entertainment Inc. as they pertain to the Marvel Universe Live Production.
8. Responsible for accepting all other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

1. Associate degree or higher in Technical Theatre and/or 5+ years real world experience as a Property, Logistics in the arena, movie, or theatre or touring industries.
2. Understands theatrical terms and directions.
3. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret diverse instructions furnished in various forms including verbal, written, blueprints and CAD documents.
4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as to write routine reports and correspondence.
5. Ability to climb and work focus, adjust and repair at heights in excess of 55ft before, during and after performance and during rigging calls, load ins and load outs.
6. Recognized as a proven team player with strong verbal communicating skills, creative problem solving and strong organization abilities; mechanically inclined.
7. Ability and desire to tour year round.
8. Ability to travel internationally and to Canada.

Skills + Abilities:

1. Experience operating scissor lifts, various forklifts and other lift equipment and machinery; certifications a plus.
2. Knowledge and or experience loading and unloading trucks, staging equipment and coordinating traffic flow paths in a live performance setting.
3. Ability to lift over 75 lbs, stand for 2 hours and operate various powered and non-powered tools.
4. Additional skills in carpentry, welding, fiberglass, rigging, scenic painting, metal fabrication and understanding of some electrical principles, formulas and drawings a must.
