The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre is seeking a Props Master for its 2020 summer season: Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) presented outdoors on the lawn of McAlister. Into The Woods and As You Like It, performed in repertory at Reynolds Performance Hall.

Duties and Responsibilities
Reports to the Production Manager
- Collaborate with the Scenic Designers and Directors of props design and needs.
- Create and maintain a props budget in conjunction with the Production Manager
- Create and maintain the props list for all three shows.
- Research and plan the construction of all props.
- Track rentals through the course of the season and plan the return of items rented.
- Communicate with Stage Management and Technical Director on rehearsal props and rehearsal notes
- Ensure all rehearsal props are delivered in a timely manner.
- Participate in load in and strike of ASTs production
- Plan with the Technical Director and Production Manager the transportation of props across campus.
- Work with the Technical Director to maintain a safe and professional work environment both in the Scenic Studio and at Reynolds Performance Hall.
- Familiarize yourself with the shop facility and tools
- Attend all design, department head, and production meetings
- Carry out other duties as assigned that may be necessary to meet the needs of AST and your department.

Requirements
- Strong leadership and creative abilities
- Minimum of three years of props experience
- One who thrives in a fast passed environment
- Knowledge of a variety of props construction methods including; scene painting, sewing, upholstery, MIG welding, furniture construction, and paper good construction.
- Experience working in a repertory situation

AST is the states only professional Shakespeare company and is housed on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
