The Northbrook Park Districts mission is to enhance our community by providing outstanding services, parks and facilities through environmental, social and financial stewardship. We are seeking an energetic, motivated and team-oriented worker for a part-time position at the Northbrook Theatre to serve as Costume Designer for our upcoming production of "Wizard of Oz".

Qualifications: Degree in Costuming from an accredited college or university or significant (5+ years) in a similar position. Stitching and costume construction skills. Knowledge of makeup and hair dressing desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office desirable. Interest in Childrens Theatre. Strong communication skills; excellent organizational/time management and budgeting skills; commitment to collegiality; commitment to working with both adult actors and child performers. Candidate must also possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; must be accommodating and adaptable, with excellent team-building and customer service capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Costume Designer is responsible for designing all makeup, wigs and costumes for our production of Wizard of Oz opening June 8, 2018. Builds and assists Costume Shop Coordinator in the purchasing, borrowing and renting of costumes, fabrics, makeup, wigs and accessories as needed and within specified budgets. Attends production meetings and dress rehearsals for all productions.
